The third tier for men in the United Soccer League (USL) is the USL League One, sanctioned by the U.S. Soccer Federation as a Division III professional league. League One includes over 20 clubs across the United States with more than half a dozen expansion teams in development. It is one of the most successful professional soccer leagues in the world, reaching a population of more than 84 million and fueling the growth of the game across North America.
USL League One clubs welcomed nearly 1 million fans into their stadiums in overall total league attendance in 2025, with average attendance coming in at over 3,000 per match.
The USL League One has national media partnerships with both ESPN and CBS, showcasing matches across CBS, CBS Sports Network, CBS Sports’ 24-7 soccer fast channel Golazo Network, ESPN linear networks, and ESPN+. The League also operates USL Productions, which includes a state-of-the-art facility that produces more than 600 matches and 1,200 hours of live content for local, national, and international partners, making the USL the most widely accessible soccer league in the United States.
