CELINA, Texas – This summer, the world came together to celebrate the beautiful game, welcoming millions of visitors from across the globe to North America. Rodeo Soccer Club embraced that same spirit by welcoming thousands of fans from diverse backgrounds to the RSC Summer of Soccer Fan Zone in Downtown Celina.
Throughout the Summer of Soccer and duration of the FIFA World Cup, the RSC Fan Zone became a destination for fans of all ages and backgrounds to watch matches, connect with the club, and celebrate the beautiful game together. Interactive experiences, exclusive merchandise, giveaways, and a family-friendly atmosphere created unforgettable moments while introducing thousands of visitors to the future of professional soccer in Celina.
The Fan Zone also became a premier destination for supporters of the United States and Mexico national teams, with fans packing Downtown Celina for every match. USA watch parties averaged more than 700 attendees per match, creating an electric atmosphere complete with fun activations, celebrations, food and beverages provided by LSA Burger Co., and a shared passion for the game. Whether cheering on the Stars and Stripes or El Tri, supporters from across Collin County turned the RSC Fan Zone into one of the region’s most vibrant soccer watch party destinations.
“From day one, our vision has been to build more than a soccer club. We want Rodeo SC to become a year round gathering place where our community can come together and create lasting memories. This summer, seeing Downtown Celina filled with fans from all over North Texas, supporting different countries but celebrating the same game, was incredibly special. The Summer of Soccer showed what’s possible when soccer brings people together, and it’s only the beginning of what we plan to build here in Celina. ” said Rodeo SC Founder, Ben Watson.
Prior to the Summer of Soccer, the club unveiled the city’s first-ever outdoor mini soccer pitch, located outside the old Bongo Beaux’s building in the heart of Downtown Celina. The space quickly became a community hub, hosting interactive soccer activities, free skills clinics for local youth, health & wellness events, a Panini World Cup™ Sticker Trade Event, and other various family-friendly programming. These activations encouraged fans to stay engaged beyond match days while strengthening Rodeo SC’s connection with the local community ahead of its inaugural 2028 season.
“Hosting an official Panini FIFA World Cup™ Sticker Trade Event was a milestone for the Rodeo Soccer Club and the City of Celina,” said Rodeo SC Community Outreach Coordinator, Chloe Almond. “ Panini has been part of the FIFA World Cup experience for more than 50 years, so bringing that tradition to Downtown Celina gave our community the opportunity to be part of something recognized by soccer fans around the world. Seeing families, collectors, and first-time fans trading stickers together perfectly reflected what Summer of Soccer was all about; creating connections through the game.”
The Summer of Soccer demonstrated Rodeo SC’s commitment to bringing the community together through the game. From unforgettable watch parties to family-friendly activities and the city’s first outdoor mini pitch, the Fan Zone laid the foundation for a soccer culture that will continue to grow in Celina for years to come.
